Roque de los Muchachos
The Observatory del Roque de los Muchachos (ORM) is situated on the edge of the Caldera de Taburiente National Park, 2.396 m. above sea level . It is home to one of the most extensive fleets of telescopes to be found anywhere in the world.
Conditions at the Observatory are ideal not only for night time observations but also for Solar Physics. The Observatory also attracts researchers in High Energy Astrophysics
We can organise visits to the observatories for group events, it will give you and your team the possibility to see one of the most advanced technologies that Spain has to offer.
The geographical situation of La Palma, under the direct influence of the Trade winds, allows you to have excellent conditions of atmospheric stability. The participants of your event will have a good opportunity to locate the North Star, the major constellations and planets and with proper equipment (and with the optional help of professionals), you can also find galaxies, nebulae and other objects outside our solar system.
